Within the SGS network, a specialized laboratory in southwestern France serves as a dedicated reference center for aerospace environmental and mechanical testing. The facility has built its reputation on rigorous qualification testing under the industry's most demanding standards, notably DO-160 for airborne equipment, covering the full range of environmental conditions aircraft systems must withstand, extremes temperature, vibration, humidity, trough standard tests and tailormade solution.
The laboratory supports aircraft and engine manufacturers, along with their equipment suppliers, throughout the certification lifecycle, from early design validation to final qualification testing required for airworthiness approval. Its scope extends to materials characterization for aerospace-grade components, backed by NADCAP accreditation in the Non-Metallic Materials Testing scope and ISO/IEC 17025 certification.
