Testing of hybrid and electric propulsion systems for the aviation industry is evolving, as the various propulsion systems. Testing and new methodologies become a key factor for validation within the development process to verification. Copper Bird, as a partly physically represented hybrid and electric propulsion system with domains outside the core needing emulation, is giving several degrees of freedom for system setup and domain boundaries whilst running a SiL combined with a real and full power pHiL.
