Bastien is in charge of Intellectual Property activities at Beyond Aero, where he helps identify and protect new ideas emerging from the company’s engineering activities. He is also involved in the company’s strategic initiatives as part of the Strategy team.  

Bastien is trained in Aircraft Design and Autonomous Systems Design, with an engineering degree from École Polytechnique and ISAE-SUPAERO. He completed his Master’s thesis at Aura Aero on the conceptual aerostructural optimization of a wing for a fuel-electric hybrid aircraft.  

Before joining Beyond Aero, he worked on developing new numerical methods for optimizing routes of airborne drones over very long distances during his PhD with ISAE-SUPAERO and ENAC.
