Douglas Costa is an Aeronautical Engineer with over 15 years of experience in aircraft propulsion, spanning commercial, military, general aviation, and emerging electric aviation. He has worked with multiple Aircraft OEMs including Embraer, Saab, Mitsubishi Aircraft, Dornier Seawings, and Vaeridion. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of propulsion technologies, including high-bypass turbofans, afterburning military engines, turboprops, and electric propulsion systems, with a strong focus on system integration and certification. As Head of Propulsion & Systems at Vaeridion, he leads high-performance engineering teams across propulsion, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and avionics—driving the development of scalable and certifiable electric aircraft solutions.
