Evanthia Pappa is a Senior Researcher at Leonardo SPA, based at the Leonardo Innovation Hub in Italy. She is a specialist in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, with a particular focus on the manufacture, characterization, and optimization of composite materials for aerospace and energy applications. Her research expertise includes biomimetics, nanomaterials, and the mechanical behavior of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) structures.

Dr. Pappa holds a PhD in Materials and Processes from The University of Edinburgh (2022), where her doctoral research focused on enhancing impact damage resistance in composites. Prior to her time at Edinburgh, she earned both a BSc and an MSc in Polymer Science and Technology from the University of Patras in Greece.
